Career Experience

Alan specializes in administrative and civil litigation before various tribunals and courts. He has acted for large corporations, including railways, and for ratepayers' associations on a number of interesting and important development issues.

Mr. Heisey has lectured and taught municipal law at McGill University, the University of Waterloo, the Bar Admissions Course, the Real Estate Institute of Canada, Ryerson Polytechnical University and the Municipal Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association.

Professional Development

Outside of his law practice, Alan has contributed considerable time to community and pro bono acitvities. Mr. Heisey is a former Chair of the Toronto Police Commission (2003-4) and a former Chair of the Toronto Parking Authority(1996-2001).
