Career Experience

Mikel has been practicing for 6 years in various positions in the insurance industry, both as in-house claims counsel and as a litigator. Mikel joined PHM in March of 2006.

Mikel’s practice focuses on litigation, primarily insurance and commercial litigation. He also is developing a practice in debt collection and mortgage enforcement matters. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Divisional Court on numerous motions and hearings. He has also appeared before the Construction Lien Court.

He also practices in the following areas:

• life and disability insurance litigation
• employment and wrongful dismissal litigation
• construction and surety litigation
