Career Experience

Since his call to the Bar in 2008 Ryan’s practice has focused on general civil litigation including insurance defense, wrongful dismissal suits, and municipal law matters. 

Ryan’s experience in the Ontario Superior Court includes numerous motions, pre-trials, and mediations.  In addition, Ryan has appeared before the Ontario Municipal Board on a variety of matters and has trial experience in the Ontario Small Claims Court. Ryan’s practice also includes debt collection as well as mortgage and leasing enforcement.  

Prior to embarking on his legal career Ryan was a business owner for eight years in the Toronto film and television industry.  As a result, he brings to his professional work a wealth of practical experience gained from the day-to-day management of a small business including contract negotiation and implementation, project management, employee management and general business development.
